AD: PR Invite On Friday I went to @legolanddcbirmingham for their fabulous adult only evening.

Usually when I got the kids are there smashing everything up as soon as we make it, so it was lovely to get out build on in peace and they still had a brick maker competition and we got....FIRST PRIZE!

As its Pride weekend in Brum it was Pride themed, so this was our float! There was also amazing entertainment from @bondiqueen @ysheeblack and @aleshatryed. Definitely check out their next adult only night, it was so fun!

It's been so long since I properly got my glad rag

It's been so long since I properly got my glad rags on and gone out with a full face of make up, I even popped falsies on! My sister got married 10 days ago and it's been a negative lateral flow up to now.

It was so nice to be in a situation with people celebrating and dancing, after the 18 months we have just endured, it was heaven.

Not ready to stop testing and ditch my mask indoors yet, but definitely feeling a little more optimistic about this winter than a month or so ago! Have you been to a large event yet and how did you feel about it?

So if you have been here for a while you'll know that my neighbourhood have a Scarecrow Festival every September! It took part this past weekend and this year the theme was books!

We did Aliens Love Underpants, but the kids favourite was this excellent Matilda & Mrs Trunchball. Its so much fun and we love taking part each year. What would have you picked?

It was a busy summer but I am excited to settle back into a routine. Just hoping we can keep covid at bay and life can return to some sort of normality. They are off again on Monday though for the bank holiday...madness!
