We made it to the end of our first half term....ju We made it to the end of our first half term....just. Was my mental health hanging on by a thread? Yes. Do I need a vat of gin to get me through half term? Also yes.

If like me you have been wondering what to do this half term, The Spark Festival is here to inject some virtual sunshine! Spark is the largest independent children’s arts festival in England and includes the very best local, national and international theatre, dance, music, interactive workshops and live- streamed events around. This year it’s all online meaning more people than ever can get involved. Don’t miss the packed programme of live and on demand events, from theatre and storytelling to music mash-ups and sofa dancing.

We've seen all sorts over the years, from Baby Opera, to Sponge dancing and all sorts of discos. We've got Potato Needs a Bath booked this year (swipe right!) and the boys are going to look for a couple more events. It's on till 20th February, I've popped a link in my bio. Tell me what you book!

I have spent so much time in it recently I haven't appreciated it as much as I should. We are about to embark on a renovation project soon, so everything is a bit topsy turvy, so here is my garden looking lush in the snow.

It's been a difficult month. I suffer with seasona It's been a difficult month. I suffer with seasonal affective disorder and when the clocks go back I struggle with the dark nights and mornings. What usually gets me through it is my love for the season, entertaining and hosting my friends and Christmas planning and activities. That usually sees me ok until January.

Obviously this year it's different. None of that and I have let my self wallow a bit in what could be, rather than what can be. Control the controllables. I can't control what is going on with this virus, but I can control how I let it dictate how the rest of the year pans out. So be gone, Grinch! And hello Buddy the Elf. 🤣

What have I missed whilst I have been on a break?

Is it even Autumn if you haven't posted a picture Is it even Autumn if you haven't posted a picture of your shoes surrounded by fallen leaves?

Half way through October already. For a year where we couldn't do much, it sure has flown by! The boys break up for half term on Friday. Wondering if the government will announce a two week lockdown over the half terms. Place your bets now!

Yes! It's October and that means Halloween! Hallow Yes! It's October and that means Halloween! Halloween is one of my favourite events of the year (emo4eva) and it's going to look very different this year, but I am going to try and make the best of it.

Throwback to last years Pumpkin picking jaunt, can't wait to go again this year! What October plans do you have?

We had a Scarecrow festival in our neighbourhood a We had a Scarecrow festival in our neighbourhood at the weekend.

This was our effort! I love that even though we live in a city, our little community do villagey things like this.

Have you ever built a scarecrow? I cheated and used all the plastic bags that we accumulated from online shopping over lockdown. They are destined for the local food bank now.
